Sr. ServiceNow Platform Developer

Number of openings: 3 (2 Sr. Engineers and 1 Architect)

Location: Chantilly, VA (Fully Onsite at the Airforce Base M-F)

Duration: indefinite (will convert off contract to FTE - funding 10 years)

Compensation: 140k-165k

Experience/Education: 7-15 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's Degree in related field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience. Master's Degree or MBA in related field may be substituted for bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant experience. PhD in related field may be substituted for bachelor's degree and 7 years relevant experience.

Position's General Duties and Tasks

In the role of a ServiceNow Developer you will support our customer by providing a common set of required Enterprise Information Technology services across 187 bases. You will support our DoD customer in the implementation of enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to enable mission success and improve end user experience across the customer environment. In this role you will assist in the design and development of self-hosted ServiceNow instances in support of an on-prem environment supporting the USAF. You will support configuring, developing, and optimizing ServiceNow ITSM capabilities within the platform.

Key responsibilities include providing technical specifications and implementation of ServiceNow integrations while also providing expertise on all technical questions related to development on ServiceNow. You will develop the technical solutions, implements those solutions, and perform the component integration tests. Working as part of an agile team you will develop an understanding of the business needs and the needs to standardize processes and build these into the design. You will have the ability to understand the large scale thinking and approach needed for success of the project and provide an advanced level of understanding of ServiceNow along with an advanced level programming skills. You will use your fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL and CMDB in the provision of this support.

Required Qualifications:

• 10 Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
• Must meet 8570/8140 DoD Cyber Workforce Compliance requirement – Will be required to get IAT Level II certification within 60 days of hire if not already obtained.
• An active DoD Secret clearance
• 4 years advanced experience with ServiceNow implementations.
• 4 years experience with development and implementation of ServiceNow ITOM and ITSM modules - Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management.
• Requires on site presence in Chantilly, VA.

• Understands technical and functional design requirements related to ServiceNow.
• Create and manage scripts and workflow.
• Integrate external data sources into ServiceNow.
• Build custom dashboards based on custom application data models and external data sources.
• Customize and configure workflows and define notifications as part of custom workflows in applications.
• Leads integration of new products based on client requirements.
• Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
• Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
• Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
• Instruct, assign, direct and check the work of others on the development team.
