Job Overview

We are seeking individuals who will deliver high-quality food and exceptional customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, providing, and serving food and beverages to customers. A strong understanding of food hygiene and relevant health and safety procedures is essential. The successful candidates will report to the Market Café Supervisor and will work in a supportive environment that fosters learning and development, offering an opportunity to make a positive impact by serving others with a smile.

Detailed Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Extensive knowledge of products and services.
• With high integrity, ensure that guests experience the highest quality customer service standards.
• Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy and humility.
• Ensure compliance to company policies, standards and core practices.
• Able to operate POS transactions and reconciliations as needed.
• As part of the Food & Beverage team, ensures quality service to guests with emphasis on cleanliness, efficiency, accuracy, professionalism and courtesy at all times.
• Ability to remain calm, positive and focused while multitasking in any given circumstances and environment.
• Must work well under pressure, possess a sense of urgency and have the ability to offer menu recommendations.
• Flexible and can do multiple tasks like preparing and cooking food etc.
• Participate in opening/closing setups while maintaining corresponding company required checklists
• Responsible for checking stocks,merchandising and inventories while coordinating with superiors
• Apply the necessary precautions with regards to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Cross-train in various areas of the business to provide support where needed.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the surrounding areas, ensuring a neat and safe environment at all times
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in Food and beverage Services
• Perform other related duties
• Expected to cross-train in various areas of the business and provide support as needed to fill in for other roles such as food prep, customer service etc.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, and consistently embrace and exemplify the company’s core values in all aspects of work.

Education

• Previous customer service knowledge and training
• Minimum 1 year previous work experience in a similar capacity
• Flexible in scheduled shifts, including early morning start times, weekdays, weekends and or holidays.

Experience & Functional Knowledge

• Passion for food and service excellence with a strong understanding of beverage standards.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Excellent communication and social skills; fluency in English required.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and hygiene practices.
• Ethical and professional conduct, maintaining the highest integrity in all responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour plus tips

Expected hours: 40 per week
