Overview:
The Telecommunication Specialist requires a minimum of 5 years of experience managing and supporting telecommunication systems, including both analog and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies, in a government or military environment. This role supports an integrated IT department by acting as the liaison between the end-user community and the Information Management Information Technology (IMIT) department. The position involves managing mobile telecommunications and briefing executive leadership on key service delivery issues.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Analog environment.
- Manage mobile telecommunications such as iPhones, iPads, mobile cellular wireless devices, Mobile Wi-Fi, and hands-free communication devices such as Vocera.
- Have or acquire advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Develop telecommunication documentation for operational sustainment.
- Manage telecommunication projects for new technology implementations.
- Keep up with or obtain required certifications per DoD 8570.1M for privileged level access: Security , Cisco Call Manager certificate.
- Assemble technical documents and provide detailed analysis of various business system functions using Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, Access, Project Management, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Monitor and assign tickets to the telecom team within ServiceNow.
- Display proficiency in ITIL Incident Management.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as foster a cohesive team environment.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written. This position requires working with colleagues across the IT department and clients to fully understand the client’s needs.
- Ability to interface with high-level government/military personnel and proactively translate and document high-level business needs into functional requirements.
- Demonstrated success operating in either an enterprise-level corporate or military headquarters environment.
Clearance:
- Must have a secret security clearance and be able to maintain.

Pay: Up to $130,000.00 per year
