Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring, skilled, and proactive RN to join our assisted living community. This role is crucial in overseeing clinical care, ensuring compliance, and supporting a safe and empowering atmosphere for both residents and staff.
This leadership role requires a compassionate individual with strong management skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents. The Director of Nursing will work closely with staff, families, and external agencies to maintain compliance with regulations and promote a positive living environment.
Duties
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate nurse management to ensure optimal resident care.
- Oversee hospice care services and ensure that residents receive appropriate end-of-life support.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans for residents.
- Foster a positive environment by promoting resident engagement and community involvement.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on best practices in nursing administration and caregiving.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare requirements and other regulatory standards
- On call for resident emergencies
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess residents’ health needs and assist with developing individualized care plans
- Conduct and document medication delegation for caregivers, ensuring proper training and ongoing supervision
- Provide hands-on training and competency checks for caregivers, reinforcing best practices and safety protocols
- Monitor changes in resident condition and coordinate with families, providers, and staff
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and internal policies
- Participate in audits, quality assurance activities, and staff development
- Serve as a clinical resource and support to the caregiving team
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Wisconsin
- Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a senior care setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication management and delegation practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate, team-oriented, and organized

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
