What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Accounting Assistant position at NuCO2 Management LLC?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Sales Tax Accountant with monthly processing of sales tax returns and payments for states/jurisdictions. Prepare checks to be mailed out with tax returns. Process online payments.
- Audit resale certificates for completeness of information. Scan and update resale certificates in Metaviewer (document management tool) for proper tracking of sales tax exemptions for weekly uploads. Research and update reporting to identify upcoming certificates expiring.
- Support Sales Tax Accountant in processing new and renewal business licenses. Scan and file hard copies of licenses, once received. Research upcoming licenses expiring for proper tracking and follow up on current applications and payments.
- Special project to review state and jurisdictions with recent capability to receive EFT payments. Communicate with jurisdictions to gather information for set up.
- Research outstanding checks for sales tax and business license payments and correspondence with municipality to resolve payment.

Experience
Required- 2 years office experience
