Product Owner

Are you a seasoned Product Owner with a knack for sales? Nucor Buildings Group is seeking a Product Owner to shape our product vision, oversee the product backlog, and guarantee the delivery of top-notch features for our metal building quoting software.

Basic Job Functions:

• Product Vision: Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy for our website utilized for quoting and selling metal buildings (Used internally and externally).

• 
  Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog. Write user stories and acceptance criteria by proactively gathering information from stakeholders.

• 
  Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team. Lead stakeholder meetings to review the roadmap and gather feedback.

• 
  Collaborate with Other Technical Teams: Engage and work closely with other technical teams at Nucor to ensure the prioritization and success of cross-team project.

• 
  Lead SCRUM Process: Lead all SCRUM meetings, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as Product Owner or Project Manager
• Experience working with the software development lifecycle
• Experience working within agile development principles.
• Ability to work onsite in Northeast Indiana.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org).
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent certification
• Demonstrate strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
