Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic that will be a great Nucor team member who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. In addition, the selected candidates will ensure the success of the team by SAFELY performing Preventative and Corrective maintenance on steel mill equipment and systems, as well as proposing and implementing innovative solutions to challenges in the steel making process. The Maintenance Mechanical will work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
Nucor Steel West Virginia's greenfield project is a new state-of-the-art sheet steel mill that will produce up to 3 million tons per year once fully operational. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located in Mason County, along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' industrial maintenance experience.
- Fundamental Mechanical Theory knowledge.
- Experience Troubleshooting Mechanical Systems.
- Prior Steel Mill experience.
- 2-year or 4-year degree in Mechanical or related field.
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and powertrain systems.
