Assists the Accounting / Administration Department by maintaining operational data to report financial results. This would include performing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing accounting functions and responsibilities.
Preparation of account reconciliations including intercompany reconciliation.
- Assists with year-end tax schedules and physical inventory counts.
- Responsible for fixed assets and bank reconciliations.
- Posts payroll and payroll taxes.
- Prepares general ledger entries (including recurring and intercompany) and maintains records and files.
- Reconciles accounts and prepares supporting schedules including quarterly workpapers.
- Supports Accounting Supervisor in completing jobs as needed.
- Answers accounting questions and assists with audits and special projects as needed.
- Performs other accounting-related tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum of associate’s degree in accounting, business, or finance
Excellent computer skills needed, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, plus adaptability to learn new systems
