Short Description
This is a non-remote, in-office position located in Fort Wayne, IN.
Lead the Accounts Payable department functions while advising teammates and ensuring performance standards are being met.
Basic Job Functions:
- Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards.
- Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values.
- Oversee the productivity and quality of department work ensuring timeliness of payments, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Provide feedback during the performance appraisal process and recommend appropriate pay adjustments for department.
- Assist with the recruitment, hiring, orientation and training of new department teammates.
- Proactively assists in training and coordination of duties for department.
- Collaborate with other departments and regions to support business objectives.
- Provide back up and support to cover other teammates as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting
- At least 2 or more years accounts payable and/or accounting experience in the construction industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years’ experience leading teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience interfacing with vendors and providing world class customer service.
- Intermediate computer skills required in Microsoft office products.
