The Traffic Coordinator/Shipping Administrator will have a wide range of responsibilities that will include managing carrier/trucking company relationships and negotiating freight rates, working with our division’s sales department to take care of our customers shipping needs, managing rail pricing and agreements, working with the Nucor Load Center to better manage our logistics, and maintaining and adjusting when needed our division freight rate matrix. The Traffic Coordinator/Shipping Administrator will be available to assist weighing all trucks in and out at the scale house, communicate with truck drivers, mill personnel and sales to resolve system or paperwork problems, handle various administrative tasks, operate and understand radiation detection equipment and bill finished goods and truck/rail cars. The Traffic Coordinator/Shipping Administrator will also assist with inventory functions such as running reports, making tags, etc. Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime, weekends and holidays. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in freight, logistics or shipping
- Computer-based transportation management system experience
- Associate Degree in Business Management, Logistics or related field
