The Human Resources Business Partner is a key leader on the HR team and will drive business outcomes via enabling our “Culture of Caring”. This individual will be a champion for Nueske’s Core Values (Integrity, Respect, Trust) and Culture Elements, embracing the need to care for our team members, customers, and communities. This person will provide insights into HR strategy and determining actions required to execute strategic goals. The HRBP will serve as a front-line resource for all team members across the organization. The Human Resources Business Partner role reports to the Human Resources Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as a collaborative member of the HR team to develop and deliver actions needed to support team members and business needs
- Share HR knowledge and priorities with the HR team and across the organization
- Partner with Operations and other functions to meet the people needs of the business and provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders
- Represent Nueske’s as an engaged and positive member of the communities where we live and work
- Advance our Culture of Caring by coaching leaders and modeling Nueske’s Culture Elements
- Lead recruiting efforts including but not limited to candidate communication, coordinating interview schedules, and administering referral program
- Develops and executes retention efforts, including conducting and trending exit interview responses
- Gives guidance and shares best practices for payroll, benefits, and FMLA administration
- Facilitate new employee onboarding and oversee overall employee experience
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and postings.
- Support efforts to build bench strength across the organization.
- Provide support to the HR Director, including sharing knowledge, perspectives, and recommendations for effective operations
- Supports and promotes wellness initiatives as well as food and people safety programs
- Ensure ethical interpretation and application of company policies, practices and procedures that create and maintain a positive work environment.
- Approach the HR body of work with a continuous improvement mindset and provide ideas and solutions for improving HR operations and service
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Human Resources including demonstrated knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including performance feedback, team member relations, compensation practices, payroll, benefits, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a manufacturing environment with a strong culture of caring for people and producing top quality products
- Good business acumen with an understanding of the key drivers of Nueske’s
- Ability to establish strong partnerships, relationships, and influence across the organization
- Demonstrated desire to truly care for team members, lead by example with our Culture Elements and Core Values and drive our Culture of Caring
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR systems, programs, and processes
- HR experience in a manufacturing environment, in particular HR leadership experience in the food & beverage or meat packaging industry
- Work experience in a privately owned organization
- PHR or SHRM certification
