JOB SUMMARY:
This is an opportunity to join a world class smoked meats experience for the summer months of May through August. A Packaging Team Member works in a meat manufacturing environment where their main job is to pack finished smoked meat products. They are given the responsibility to ensure that our meat products measure up to our quality standards and are packaged, labeled, and boxed correctly. No prior food manufacturing experience is necessary, our packaging experts will offer you the training needed for this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Trim and package meat products.
- Weigh and sort various meats.
- Label, box, palletize product accurately.
- Have knowledge of and follow all product specifications.
- Follow all food quality/safety GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Commitment to a minimum of two months of employment required between May-August.
- Must be able to work 6:30am-4:00pm M-TH with occasional Friday work as needed.
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
