JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Admissions Staff is responsible for welcoming guests, verifying pool access, collecting admission fees, and ensuring an excellent guest experience at The Elmont. This position involves interacting with guests, answering questions, and ensuring the pool area remains safe, organized, and welcoming for all attendees. The ideal candidate will be friendly, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced environment.
REPORTS TO: General Manager
LOCATION: The Elmont
Pay / GRADE LEVEL: Hourly / Non-Exempt
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome guests entering the pool area and verify their pool access.
- Collect admission fees and provide receipts to guests.
- Check IDs to ensure compliance with age restrictions or other venue policies.
- Answer guest questions regarding pool rules,events, operating hours, and available amenities.
- Submit daily reports and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area for guests.
- Manage lost and found items, ensuring proper logging and handling.
- Sell refreshments, chips, and other items to guests as part of the concession offerings.
- Assist with managing the flow of guests in and out of the pool area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the guest experience.
- Work closely with other team members to address any issues or concerns.
- Ensure all pool and event rules and regulations are adhered to by guests.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is typically performed in the resort. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves a majority of standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and some lifting up to 50 lbs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service or admissions experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy environment.
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle cash transactions and provide change accurately.
Basic knowledge of pool safety and rules is a plus.
Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the pool area.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
