What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Events Coordinator Fulltime Hourly Varied Shifts position at Nugget Casino Resort?
FUNCTION:
Coordinate development planning and implementation of marketing events in a fast-paced environment while consistently providing exceptional guest service, supporting the vision of the marketing department and the Nugget Casino Resort.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the coordination, implementation and staffing of special event/promotions, tournaments, shows, player development functions, gift days and other events.
- Direct team members for concerts/shows/events. Conduct pre-shift meetings, assist with training staff and act as event lead when working events.
- Provide administrative services preparing and distributing department memos, correspondence, flyers, promotion rules, and reports. Screen and route incoming calls.
- Function as department Title 31 Representative, maintaining all reporting compliance.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure timely coordination of events.
- Assist with programming of promotions and events in the kiosk management system for prize issuance, executing promotions, drawings, marketing messaging, and player rewards.
- Responsible for the set up and scorekeeping of gaming tournaments and coordination prize pay outs in accordance with company policies and procedures and gaming regulations.
- Requisition promotional gifts, set up and tear down Gift Day redemption areas and assist with staffing as needed.
- After an event, ensure all event documentation is finalized, retained, and meets company and Gaming Control requirements.
- Prepare and submit post-event/show/concert reporting for analysis in a timely manner.
- Maintain supplies, inventories, and event files in proper order.
- Promotes details of events, concerts, shows, player’s club membership, and rewards. Answer guest questions and provide accurate information regarding current and upcoming Nugget events.
- Knowledge of event ticketing system to include, ticket details, following correct procedures for set up of on-sale dates, allocation of ticket blocks, sale and/or comp of tickets and processing returned tickets. Process, print and distribute tickets for artists, casino, and public guests.
- Responsible for set-up, staffing and breakdown of Will Call Desk. Tests ticketing and scanning equipment to insure it is in proper working order prior to the event.
- Respond to guest needs, referring concerns to the appropriate level of management as appropriate in a timely and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of Marketing policies and procedures. Understand and adhere to company and departmental rules and regulations, local, state, and federal gaming regulations.
- Consistently demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Performs all responsibilities in compliance with current federal and state/provincial regulations, the regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: VP of Marketing
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years casino event or special event planning required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform duties with multiple distractions.
Ability to work with the public and diverse departments and vendors.
Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Alcohol Awareness Certification is required.
Valid Nevada Driver’s license and clean 3-year DMV record required.
Employee Gaming registration required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs. may be required depending on the position.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
