What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shuttle Driver Fulltime Dayshift position at Nugget Casino Resort?
FUNCTION:
Responsible for operating the Nugget Casino’s shuttle, transporting guests and personnel to and from the airport, or other destinations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exceptional guest service to guests while they are in your care, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Load and unload guest luggage.
- Closely follow prescribed shuttle schedules.
- Perform proper pre and post trip vehicle inspections in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and all applicable inspection reports.
- Turn in all inspection reports and passenger count logs to the valet office at the end of shift.
- Ability to hear and respond by radio to the Bell desk, always maintaining communication.
- Pull luggage from the luggage room for guests when bellmen are not available.
- Ability to interact with guests from all walks of life with ease and diplomacy.
- Sit for extended periods of time while waiting for or transporting guests.
- Reports all accidents or tickets immediately to the Guest Services Manager.
- Keep assigned vehicle fresh and clean always.
- Load and unload luggage from shuttle bus as necessary.
- Observe and obey all applicable DOT regulations and laws.
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Guest Services Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age. CDL license is required.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1-year previous transportation experience required.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Alcohol Awareness Certification within the first 30 days required.
Valid Nevada CDL driver’s license and clean 3-year DMV record required.
PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
