Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient care by monitoring health conditions and reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Support clients in maintaining their resident rights and dignity throughout the caregiving process.
- Help with social work activities by engaging clients in conversation and providing companionship.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
- Assist with hospice care when necessary, ensuring comfort during end-of-life transitions.
- Administer first aid when required and ensure that all care is delivered in accordance with best practices.
Skills
- Strong understanding of resident rights and advocacy for client dignity.
- Proficiency in meal preparation and nutritional support for clients.
- Experience in patient care within long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of social work principles to foster meaningful relationships with clients.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences.

- Experience in hospice care practices is a plus, demonstrating sensitivity during challenging times.
