Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Administer first aid as needed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients with memory care needs by utilizing appropriate techniques to enhance cognitive function.
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during travel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans that meet individual needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving, social work, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with working in nursing homes, group homes, or memory care facilities is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
