PCA Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including geriatrics, inpatient care, and emergency medicine. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients while ensuring their safety and comfort.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Document daily activities and care provided in accordance with established protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to care plans developed by healthcare professionals.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
• Certification as a Personal Care Assistant or similar credential is preferred but not mandatory.
