What are the responsibilities and job description for the BSA & Fraud Specialist I position at NuMark Credit Union?

As a BSA & Fraud Specialist I, you will work together with the Risk Management team to monitor consumer/business account documentation, prepare various reports, assist multiple departments in detecting fraud, and assist in preparing audits to ensure that our Credit Union protects the integrity of our member (customer) information.
What You'll Do:
- Monitors and documents any fraudulent documentation relating to new and existing consumer/business accounts within the credit union.
- Reviews reports relating to consumer/business accounts and fraud items.
- Assists Fraud & Risk Manager and other staff in facilitating routine audits and examinations.
- Collaborates with Fraud & Risk Manager and other staff in implementing necessary measures to maintain compliance as it relates to Consumer/Business accounts and Fraud Items.
- Assists with monitoring alerts that are generated within Abrigo.
- Assists operations with reviewing accounts pertaining to debit card fraud.
- Assists with preparing CTRs (Currency Transaction Reports) and SARs (Suspicious Activity Reports).
- Monitors inactive accounts for unusual activity.
- Assists the Fraud and Compliance Committee with special projects as needed.
- Research and put together weekly and/or monthly fraud trend updates to be relayed to staff.
- Assist in gathering and organizing data for internal or external audits and regulatory examinations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 1-2 years of BSA/Fraud experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of all Credit Union programs and services as well as the regulations and compliance issues related to them.
- Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of all Bank Secrecy Act requirements.
- Proficient in computer applications associated with the position.

The budgeted compensation range for this position is $21.00-$22.00 per hour (non-exempt). Individual rates vary based on skills and experience. This position is also eligible to earn monetary sales incentives.
