What You’ll Do
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting to support budgeting and planning activities.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process, providing input and helping develop financial forecasts.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and presentations for management and stakeholders as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information, ensure data integrity, and provide financial insights for business initiatives.
- Assist in the development of financial models, business cases, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track financial metrics, and provide recommendations for optimizing financials performance.
- Support strategic planning activities including goal setting, regional and product analysis.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience (experience in a software business is preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and financial software analysis tools. NetSuite other other ERP experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial statement analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to come to the NYC office three - four days per week.
