MONDAY – FRIDAY 8-4:30PM
The Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) Nurse Home Visitor (NHV) is responsible for delivery of comprehensive community health nursing care to first-time, low income pregnant women and their families who are eligible for NFP. Direct supervision for this position is provided by an assigned NFP Nurse Supervisor (and Assistant Supervisor when applicable). The NHV practices within the scope of practice designated by the Louisiana Nurse Practice Act (LRS 37:911) and adheres to the policies, procedures and standards of the Louisiana NFP Program (MIECHV) and the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals/Office of Public Health (LDH/OPH).
The Nurse Home Visitor (NHV) implements NFP with fidelity. Maintains a minimum caseload of 25 active families who have been identified as eligible for NFP. Adheres to the NFP model of Home Visiting which includes completion of scheduled visits in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of NFP. Meets NFP programmatic documentation expectations as set forth by LDH/OPH. Performs ongoing nursing assessments of the physical, emotional, social and environmental needs of pregnant women, children and families within their community. Demonstrates proficiency in use and interpretation of model specific assessment tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with unrestricted/current LA RN licensure and 3 years of experience in maternal child health nursing, public/community health, home health or related fields (masters or higher may substitute for 1 year of experience).

Important must have skills are excellent organization, time management, flexibility, self motivation, independent learning, critical thinking, and computer/technical abilities.
Domiciled in Morgan City to serve lower St. Mary parish and some Assumption. Do not have to reside in the parish of the job domicile.

Salary range is $22.33/hr. to $32.24/hr. depending on qualifications and experience. This is $46,446 to $$67,049. Additional hazard pay for on duty status.
