We are
looking for a motivated assistant to join our maintenance department who will
work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the
building(s), equipment, and utilities are maintained in good working order and
the center grounds are properly maintained in accordance with resident's needs,
government regulations, and company values while providing excellent customer
service to associates, residents, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform
minor repairs and day-to-day repairs, improvements, and preventative
maintenance of the building, equipment, lawn, and grounds, as directed by the
Maintenance Supervisor.
- Make sure
equipment and work areas are kept clean, clear, safe, and free of obstruction.
- Participate
in disasters and fire drills, as needed.
- Follow all
safety rules and regulations.
- Perform
tasks that involve hanging bulletin boards, pictures, and necessary items used
in the residents’ rooms, day rooms, common areas, and/or offices.
- Report any
incident and/or accident to the Maintenance Supervisor as soon as possible.
- May also,
perform floor care, as needed.
- Previous
maintenance experience preferred, but not required as long as the level of
experience is at a level necessary to perform the duties of this job.
- Must be
capable of maintaining regular attendance, as required.
- Must be
able to work weekends and overtime as required.
- Must be
able to follow and/or provide strong communication skills effectively through
written and oral delivery in a manner appropriate for a healthcare/office
setting.
- Must be
able to problem solve, if needed.
