Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level IT Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with network maintenance and system updates. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to employees and clients, both remotely and on-site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, software, and network devices.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access control.
- Perform system upgrades, including hardware replacements and software updates.
- Assist with network monitoring and ensure proper functioning of network infrastructure.
- Record technical issues and their resolutions for the knowledge base and future reference.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on complex troubleshooting tasks.
- Provide training and support to end users on IT systems and software applications.
- Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to senior technicians.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, and/or Linux operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Excel and creating pivot tables to summarize data reports.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Basic knowledge of network protocols, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with IT support tools and ticketing systems.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified IT Specialist (MCTS) are a plus but not required.
