Job Title: NICU Nurse Practitioner (NP)

About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in a Level 3 NICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NICU care and the ability to work flexibly with a collaborative team to provide high-quality care to neonates. This is a per diem position with a flexible schedule, offering six 24-hour shifts per month. You’ll be rounding in the NICU, with the responsibility to manage a dynamic and varying patient census, which can range from 5 to 20 babies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Round in the NICU and provide direct care to neonates
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers
- No responsibility for attending c-sections, preemie deliveries, or nursery rounds (these are covered by physicians)
- Participate in daily rounds and provide clinical oversight in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Required Qualifications:
- 1 years of NICU experience
- Proficiency in intubations, catheterizations, and other critical care procedures
- Current NRP certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility in scheduling and adaptability to an unpredictable census
