Position Description
Loyola University New Orleans College of Nursing and Health is seeking an experienced educator and administrator to lead the School of Nursing (SON) as the Director. The candidate will have had a career of academic excellence and demonstrated leadership skills. This is a 12-month position with the individual reporting to the Dean of the College of Nursing and Health. Loyola’s SON is expanding, and this is a great opportunity to be part of an innovative leadership team to bring to fruition the vision and strategic plan for the School of Nursing. The College of Nursing and Health is unique in that it is comprised of the three educational units of Counseling, Ministry, and Nursing with a tagline of “Health in Mind, Body, and Spirit”.
This candidate will provide leadership for the strategic and operational activities related to nursing education and its enterprises within the College of Nursing and Health. The Director serves as the official representative of the SON at the university level as well as in external partnerships, during community engagements, public affairs, to university advancement and philanthropy, and alumni affairs.
