Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Surgical Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the surgical department(s). This includes supervising personnel, managing supplies and equipment, and coordinating scheduling to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead surgical staff, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Manage the scheduling of surgical procedures and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Oversee inventory control, including the ordering of supplies and equipment.
- Work closely with leadership to maintain a high standard of care and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills while handling multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business, Public Health, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or in a full-time charge nurse/leadership role.
- Certifications/Licenses: Active RN license required. CPR certification required.
- Skills:
- At least 2 years of RN experience in the operating room.
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $99,840 – $160,000 annually
