Job Summary
The Registered Nurse - Critical Care is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in critical condition. This role requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while utilizing advanced medical technologies and practices.
Duties
- Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs and clinical status continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and tube feeding.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples for laboratory testing.
- Operate medical equipment and ventilate patients as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the development of patient care plans.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks, Cerner, or Epic.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the critical care unit.
- Maintain a sterile environment during procedures in the OR or clinic settings.

- Strong clinical skills in hospital medicine and critical care practices.
- Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomizing, and tube feeding.
