Job Title: Director of Women’s and Children’s Services
Location: Beachside Hospital, California Coast
We are seeking an experienced Director of Women’s and Children’s Services. This 150 bed acute care facility features a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The surrounding area is a vibrant community hub, offering an attractive downtown, comfortable coastal weather, stunning views, and an active lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage approximately 140 FTEs in the departments of Labor & Delivery, NICU, Mother/Baby, and Pediatrics.
- Provide overall supervision of nursing for patient care units, ensuring accountability for financial, operational, and mission performance.
- Collaborate with all areas to coordinate services that support strategic goals and hospital mission.
- Maintain responsibility for staffing, operational policies, compliance with regulatory requirements, and service delivery standards.
- Supervise and direct assigned personnel, exercising professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Essential Functions
- Cultivate a culture of superior quality and patient safety while ensuring highest standards of regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with medical directors to establish clinical standards and enhance patient care performance.
- Assess unit business strategies, develop new programs that reflect market demands, and ensure financial stewardship through revenue and cost management.
- Supervise quality and effectiveness of patient care in collaboration with management, ensuring alignment with hospital strategies.
- Establish and maintain staffing ratios and ensure compliance with competency requirements.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Previous Leadership Experience: [Preferred]
- Acute Care Nursing Experience: [Preferred]
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California: Required
- National Specialty Certification in nursing administration or area of expertise: Preferred
- CPR or BLS Certification: Preferred

- Proven ability to coordinate services and engage teams in continuous improvement.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position with a competitive base salary ranging between $150,000 to $220,000.
