Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the medical imaging department, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate and manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to enhance team productivity.
- Oversee the execution of diagnostic evaluations, ensuring accurate imaging results through effective use of equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of current medical imaging technologies, including CT scans, to provide guidance and support to staff.
- Implement aseptic techniques in all procedures to ensure patient safety and prevent infection.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop protocols that enhance patient care and streamline workflow.
- Conduct regular audits of departmental processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare or medical imaging setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with sonography practices and medical imaging technologies, particularly CT scans.
