Position: Respiratory Therapist

Overview of Position:
Join a dedicated team in providing exceptional respiratory care! As a Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver patient care and conduct diagnostic testing in alignment with professional practice standards. You will evaluate existing clinical data and participate in creating effective respiratory care plans to enhance patient outcomes.
Essential Duties:
- Review patient records and recommend diagnostic procedures.
- Collect and evaluate clinical information for optimal treatment.
- Perform critical procedures including spirometry, co-oximetry, ABG sampling, and pressure-volume analysis.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of respiratory equipment.
- Conduct rigorous quality control checks on diagnostic equipment and blood analysis devices.
- Carry out therapeutic procedures to maintain patent airways and adequate ventilation.
- Monitor and assess patient responses to respiratory care, proposing necessary modifications.
- Provide clinical direction to the respiratory staff, especially when assigned as charge.
- Serve as a resource for new staff by demonstrating clinical proficiency.
- Assemble and maintain equipment cleanliness, checking for malfunctions.
- Engage with management on additional projects as assigned.
- Stay updated with departmental changes and communications.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a J.R.C.R.T-recognized respiratory program.
- BLS certification required; NRP certification required or to be obtained within six months of hire.
- Current certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required or to be obtained within six months of hire.
- Valid R.C.P. license issued by the State of Ohio.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to convey moderately complex information effectively to staff and patients.
- Strong attention to detail with effective organization and prioritization skills in high-pressure situations.
- Common sense and the capacity for quick decision-making.
- Experience with therapeutic skills, airway management, and diagnostic testing.

- Base Salary: USD $60,000 to $85,000
