Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT
Job Summary:
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with respiratory disorders. You will work under the supervision of a physician to develop and implement respiratory care plans to improve patient's lung function and overall health. Your role will be crucial in providing respiratory therapy treatments, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients on managing their respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform respiratory assessments and diagnostic tests to determine the best course of treatment
- Administer therapeutic treatments, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients in critical care settings
- Educate patients on proper breathing techniques and respiratory equipment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
- Document patient progress and treatment interventions accurately in medical records
- Stay current on advancements in respiratory care practices and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
