Key Responsibilities:
- Process, sterilize, and store surgical instruments following strict safety guidelines
- Ensure all sterilization equipment is functioning properly through routine monitoring
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles and biological monitoring results
- Assist with training and onboarding of new team members
- Adhere to hospital infection control and quality assurance protocols
Requirements:
- Certification: Must obtain one of the following within 1 year of hire:
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
- Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a hospital sterile processing department
- Preferred: Training in high-level disinfection, including decontamination, sterilization, and endoscope reprocessing
