Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. Duties
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Facilitate community integration by accompanying clients on outings and engaging them in social activities.
- Assist clients with heavy lifting and mobility needs, ensuring safe transfer techniques are utilized.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences.
- Monitor client progress and document changes in behavior or health status, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Knowledge of assisted living or home care practices is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others achieve their goals.
- Previous experience in senior care or direct support roles is an advantage.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
