Job Summary
The home health LVN is responsible for assuring the provision of quality care and services.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Diploma or Associate School of Nursing
- Licensure: One year of current nursing experience as a licensed vocational nurse.
- Experience: Community health and a wide range of medical-surgical nursing experience is recommended.
- Skills: He/she is an LVN, currently licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
Environmental and Working Conditions:
Works in patients home in various conditions; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases; Ability to work flexible schedules; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather.
Physical and Mental Effort:
Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50lbs and move patients. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs. Provide services in accordance with agency policies. Prepares clinical and progress notes. Assists the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques.
