What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Admissions Coordinator - Family Child Care position at Nurtury?
General Summary:
Reporting directly to the Regional Program Director, provides confidential administrative assistance relating to enrollment, intake, assessment and billing. Draft, produce and distribute correspondence and reports as needed. Answer phones, file, respond to inquiries, refer to appropriate staff, take messages, and relay information as needed; organize and maintain children’s files, prepare and distribute related materials.
Essential Functions:
- Recruit applicants and process all new enrollments. Maintain and update all children's records involving enrollment, attendance, and payments.
- Coordinate child placement and transportation throughout Nurtury.
- Perform all data collection and data entry for billing involving vouchers and contracts, transportation, parent fees, tuition assistance, DEEC, DCF, and other third party payers. Process all applicable paperwork and electronic files and follow up to clarify information, collect and/or adjust fees while maintaining all related accounts, records and files.
- Maintain master attendance records for all children within the timelines set forth by the Agency.
- Process transportation applications and communicate new, renewed and terminated transportation requests to Manager of Admissions at Central Office.
- Prepare standard administrative and statistical reports for central office, DEEC, DCF, etc.
- Maintain full fee wait list and update regularly, as needed.
- Communicate vacancies to the R&R and other appropriate agencies.
- Staff office on a schedule to allow direct communication with customers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential functions:
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Some college level education and/or 1 to 3 years of related experience, preferably in a non-profit setting
- Strong computer experience working with MS Office, internet/e-mail
