Position Summary:
nutpods is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Accounting Specialist who loves to learn and is a team player, willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done while maintaining a keen attention to detail. The Accounting Specialist is responsible for processing most of the transactions that allow our company's accounting department to manage its payables and receivables, while maintaining positive working relationships with our vendors and customers. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting.

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for processing most of the transactions that allow our company's accounting department to manage its payables and receivables, while maintaining positive working relationships with our vendors and customers. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting.
Essential Functions:
- Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and customer invoices
- Timely and accurate setup of new vendors
- Application of cash receipts and processing of customer credit memos
- Collaboration with sales team and trade management team for posting customer payment deductions
- Timely and accurate categorization of company credit/debit card expenses
- Collaboration with purchasing department to ensure accurate billing of raw material purchases
- Timely email communication with vendors
- Proactive and consistent management of customers regarding payment delays
- Assistance with month-end close processes
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Supply Chain and Sales teams to align efforts with overall business objectives
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent years of professional experience
- Proactive self-starter who completes tasks both independently and in team environments
- Highly organized multi-tasker who can pivot quickly
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite
- Ability to learn new computer software programs
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to organize and manage time efficiently and effectively
- Willingness to learn and accept direction and guidance in a professional manner
- Ready to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is needed within our nimble environment
- Base salary range: $50,000 - $65,000
