Job Title: Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist, part-time (8-32 hours per week). Hiring 2 part-time positions to job share approximately 48 hours per week.

Compensation: hourly, rate dependent on experience

Nutrition Dynamix is a private nutrition group practice in Longmont, CO serving patients from Colorado and Wyoming. Our goal is to provide effective nutrition care that is trusted by physicians and other health professionals.
General Summary of Duties:
- This job is to be conducted in the Longmont office. Work hours are slightly flexible, but may be between the hours of 7:45-5:15 Monday-Friday.
- Administrative assistance including but not limited to answering and returning phone calls and emails, greeting patients, processing payments, scheduling patients, and corresponding with other healthcare offices.
- Assisting staff dietitians with clerical work as needed (copies, educational handouts, research).
- Correspondence with insurance companies regarding medical benefits and claims for nutrition therapy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 year associate college degree.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare related office.
- Excellent personal skills for communicating with patients, staff and other healthcare providers.
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills required.
- Previous experience working with insurance billing and CMS-1500 billing forms.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience working with computer programs including Excel, Google Sheets, Adobe Acrobat.
Essential Duties:
- Learn to use our HIPPA compliant electronic health record (EHR) software.
- Check insurance benefits prior to patient appointments, organize the billing of nutrition therapy, follow-up on denied insurance claims.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed including greeting patients, answering phones, making new patient appointments, taking patient payments.
- Maintain client confidentiality and abide by HIPPA guidelines.
- Present friendly and professional attitude and work as team.
