This position will support our Parkline facility in Eleanor, WV. As a part of nVent, Parkline is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Today, nVent connects and protects our customers with inventive electrical solutions. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions for mission-critical equipment, buildings and essential processes. Offering both prefabricated and on-site building capabilities, framed and frameless building construction types, and products ranging from build kits and modular units to fully engineered integrated buildings.
The welder assists or works independently of others welding, grinding, cutting, positioning, layout, tacking, and welding together metal components consistent of structural shapes, plates, and light gauge structural components for modular buildings.

Job Functions
- Responsible for day-to-day fabrication and welding of all structural steel and miscellaneous parts
- Assist in the cutting, welding and fabrication of structural steel components and miscellaneous part fixtures
- Safely operate welding equipment
- Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions
- Capability to weld various thicknesses of metal
- Team Player, ability to work by yourself and with others
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality
- Able to adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected challenges with projects
- Willing to take ownership and accountability for work
- Take initiative; be a self-starter
- Strong Attention to detail
- Previously certified welder with MIG welding experience in GMAW, FCAW using AWS D1.1 qualifications
- Ability to read and understand structural blueprints, read a tape measure & protractors
- Cutting accurately with torches and plasma cuter
- Ability to read tape line and protractors
