Position Overview:
NWFEM is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Manager to oversee a variety of
construction projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion. The
ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing both small and mid-scale
commercial projects, with a focus on facilities maintenance, equipment installation, and
renovations. As a key member of our project team, the Construction Manager will work closely
with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within
budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring alignment with NWFEM’s high standards and client expectations.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Develop, monitor, and control project budgets and schedules. Ensure all projects are completed on time and within financial parameters.
- Team Collaboration: Work with NWFEM’s internal teams and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery, fostering open communication and strong collaboration.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships, addressing concerns, and providing project updates.
- Quality Control: Oversee the quality of work, ensuring all projects meet NWFEM’s commitment to excellence and industry standards. Conduct site inspections and review progress reports.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and OSHA standards.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise during construction, proactively identifying solutions to keep projects on track and minimize delays.
- Contractor Coordination: Manage relationships with subcontractors, ensuring that work is executed according to specifications, budget, and schedule.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project records, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and final documentation for clients.
- Team Management & Performance Reviews: Supervise and mentor a team of construction professionals. Conduct performance reviews to assess team progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for development and growth.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager or Project Manager in the construction or facilities maintenance industry.
- Skills:
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and Google Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
