What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP (Direct Support Professional) for Female Teenager in Baltimore position at NW Homecare Support Inc.?
17 year old female with a developmental disability from Oregon will be receiving inpatient medical treatment at Kennedy Krieger Institute. She is in search of a female caregiver for Personal Support for her temporary stay in Baltimore. She is anticipated to be there for about 3 months possibly starting in March, specific dates TBD. Her Mom will be staying with her and Mom’s in need of breaks to sleep. Hours can be during the day or night and the length of shifts is flexible. She will need support with behaviors and caregivers will be trained on her behavior support plan. Some of the support she requires includes; spoon feeding her meals, dressing, managing her environment to minimize triggers, managing emotional dysregulation, supervision for safety, and toileting with pull-ups. 2:1 support is approved for her. Individuals with a calm demeanor and experience working with with behavior needs would be ideal. Full-time applicant preferred but part-time is also possible.
