Located in Northwest Washington, the NW Innovation Resource Center (NWIRC) is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to creating economic opportunity and jobs by building resources and providing support for entrepreneurial innovation. With the combined efforts of the NWIRC staff, board, educational institutions, and other community partners, we are a collaborative network of resources providing the framework necessary for the entrepreneur’s success.
The Administrative and Marketing Coordinator is critical team member focused on two key areas: 1) ensuring the marketing and social media for the organization is effective and systematic and 2) programs are supported administratively including data analytics training and event planning support and execution.
The Administrative and Marketing Coordinator reports to the Data Analytics Program Manager and will be working with the Executive Director and others within NWIRC with responsibilities for the following.
Responsibilities:
Administration
- Assisting management of the Everett Office, including but not limited to opening and closing the office.
- Assist with development, coordination and implementation of a variety of events identified to suit the mission of NWIRC and its outreach strategy.
- Assist in event planning, set-up, clean-up, and organizing webinars, workshops, and other promotional events, including virtual events.
- Track, analyze, and report marketing metrics to optimize outreach campaigns
- WA Data Bootcamp database tracking
Marketing & Communications:
- Media communications including
- Social media for NWIRC and IRC Lab – this will include the content as well as the strategy to establish an effective following.
- Print media
- Community calendars, newsletters, etc.
- Create promotional materials for events, including flyers, posters, email blasts, press releases, social media, etc.
- Assist Executive Director in development of materials for funding and partnership purposes.
Skills Needed
- Proven experience in an administrative role with strong organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of marketing principles, including digital and content marketing.
- Proficient in social media management and marketing tools such as Canva and MailChimp.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner)
- Ability to be flexible working in a small office
- Public relations/customer service skills and attitude
- Ability to work well with a wide variety of individuals
Background
- Business experience sufficient to understand all aspects of a business Understanding and knowledge of marketing and public relations.
Other
- Periodic travel may be required throughout NWIRC service area. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) salaried position.
- Salary: $50,000
