LOCATION: Tigard, OR
SALARY: $22-$28/hr DOE
SCHEDULE: Full-time; Friday-Sunday 5am-530pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines to machine flat and formed parts to inch and metric drawing specifications.
• Troubleshoot and communicate issues with work orders, material shortages, and programming errors.
• Focus on reducing material waste, labor, and scrap.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Accurately record labor for job tracking purposes.
• Interact with engineering teams to advise on part designs and suggest corrective actions.
• Perform continuous education and training on ISO 1349001, blueprint reading, and other related skills.
• Ensure parts are deburred and meet high-quality standards.
• Document red lines and monitor line-side inventory.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment, machining experience preferred.
• Skills: Good math skills (trigonometry), ability to read and interpret engineered drawings, and operate precision measuring tools in thousandths.
• Technical Expertise: Ability to set up CNC machine loading programs, tools, fixtures, and offsets.
• Attention to Detail: Must have strong hand-eye coordination and a keen eye for detail.
• Additional Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand for long periods.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• This position works in a manufacturing environment with some noise and plastic chips in the area. Safety glasses are recommended outside designated safety corridors, and hearing protection is necessary around machinery.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis.
