This is a full-time on-site role located in Winchester, VA for a Direct Support Professional. The Direct Support Professional will be responsible for providing support to individuals with disabilities to enhance their quality of life. Tasks include assisting with daily living activities, implementing individual support plans, facilitating community engagement, and helping individuals develop and maintain job skills. The role requires close collaboration with other team members and ensuring that the individuals' dignity and respect are maintained.
- Experience in providing direct support to individuals with disabilities
- Skills in daily living assistance, including personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping
- Ability to implement individual support plans and therapeutic activities
- Experience in facilitating community engagement and social activities
- Skills in job skills training and vocational rehabilitation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in human services or related field is a plus
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
