General position summary :
The Customer Care Administrator is to investigate claims for loss or damage and ensure problems are resolved; maintain records of loss / damage claims; and counsel employees involved in claims to improve performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Receive all telephone calls / emails and correspondence from customers and drivers regarding claims and potential claims. Initiate action to resolve the problem.
- Compile and maintain data regarding all loss / damage claims; prepare reports for management on the relevant data for each claim and member of personnel involved.
- Determine responsible parties involved.
- Counsel employees involved in claims to correct the behavior(s) causing claims.
- Send out settlement checks and letters to customers to resolve the claim.
- Charge back claim liability to responsible parties.
Education & Experience :
Some college preferred. Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in an administrative and / or service-driven environment. Experience in claims within the logistics, relocation, transportation, or fleet industry preferred.
