What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Data Management RN Full Time - Quality Department position at Nyack Hospital?
Come join our team in the Quality Management Department at Montefiore Nyack Hospital! An RN license is required and must have Quality improvement experience / data extraction. Responsible for providing training to department staff and facilitating improvement through meetings, communications and training for inpatient and outpatient medical record documentation and to ensure compliance of quality indicators by intervening, interacting with, and educating physicians, nurses, and other licensed independent practitioners. Position includes both concurrent and retrospective data abstraction for core measures. Knowledge of EPIC EMR preferred. Has both financial and public reporting ramifications for the organization and must organize presentations to present this information t o our leadership team. This position does NOT have any direct nursing patient care responsibilities as a staff nurse.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education : Bachelor's in nursing
2. Experience : Experience in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement required in a Quality Management department preferably within a hospital setting. Previous nursing experience required but must also have Quality core measure experience. Experience in EPIC EMR chart reviews and data, specifically core measures. This is not a staff nurse or an NP position.

5. Other : Knowledge of regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission. Knowledge of quality and process improvement, data aggregation tools and ability to analyze data for power point presentations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Analytical skills to interpret data. Self-motivated individual with cognitive thinking skills who is able to work independently with minimal supervision. Working computer knowledge advance level of Excel, Word and Power Point required. Must be detail oriented.
