The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County (“BXDA”) is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities will include the following, but will not be limited to:
Administering, configuring, and monitoring enterprise servers on-premises or on the cloud, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SQL/Oracle DB.
Collaborating with IT colleagues to plan, implement, and support the transition to Nutanix HCI environments for storage and server clustering.
Managing and optimizing Azure instances, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of cloud resources.
Implementing and maintaining IGEL-powered VDI systems for efficient and secure remote access.
Utilizing experience with Windows and Linux-based operating systems to support various IT needs.
Managing central-managed tools, such as SCCM/Ivanti, to streamline routine system maintenance tasks, such as OS updates, patches, and backups, to ensure data integrity, system reliability, and availability.
Creating and maintaining build pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment of test-ready code to QA and production environments
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Monitoring system performance and security and taking proactive measures to prevent and mitigate potential risks.
Maintaining / executing agency business continuity plans and contribute to its upkeep.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain IT security policies and practices.
Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Staying current with industry trends and best practices to propose and implement system improvements.
All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Nutanix, Azure, Linux, or other Enterprise OS) are a plus.

Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience in administering cloud environment and on-premises Windows-based servers, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Familiarity with virtualization technologies, especially Nutanix HCI environments and VDI solutions like IGEL. Proficiency in managing Azure instances and cloud-based resources. Experience in working with Windows and Linux-based operating systems. Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Knowledge of and experience with data backup and recovery strategies and solutions. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and a willingness to learn and implement new solutions. Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with a proactive and results-oriented approach. Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures preferred. An understanding of the criminal justice system used in New York State and New York City is preferred. Ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics. Exhibit an ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.
