NYC Midnight (https://www.nycmidnight.com), an organization that has been hosting inspiring challenges for storytellers since 2002, is seeking qualified readers for its annual creative writing competitions. Ideal candidates have experience in their respective field(s), are passionate about writing, and enjoy helping others improve their craft.  

Submissions range from 100 words to 2,500 words and are in various genres. Readers are asked to read the submissions carefully, score them using specific criteria, and provide helpful feedback to the writer on what worked in the story and what could be improved. Compensation ranges from US$3 to US$16 per submission, and everything takes place online.  

All participating readers are emailed assignment details when they become available, including the pay rate per submission, available genres, number of submissions available, deadline to complete everything, and the date when payments will be sent. Readers can take on however many submissions they like and finish them on their own schedule or pass until the next round becomes available.
