Job Details:
As an Elementary Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching general subjects to our youngest learners. You will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students, encouraging curiosity, and fostering a love for learning.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Use relevant technology to support instruction.
- Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
- Provide appropriate feedback on work.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws and school policies.
- Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification.
- At least two years of teaching experience in an elementary setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and the latest educational theories and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
