The Claims Support Supervisor is responsible for supervision and management of all activities performed by the claims support team. Understanding divisional objectives and develop strategies to help team develop professionally and succeed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily tasks of individuals within their span of control.
- Guide, direct, and oversee workload for the support team.
- Coach, mentor, evaluate and motivate team members to reach goals and objectives.
- Assist with best practice development, and training.
- Manage quality assurance results from the claims quality assurance team and internal audit and compliance.
- Cultivate a positive and engaged team environment that is inclusive of all branch offices.
- Assist with staff maintenance through recruiting, selecting, orienting, promoting, and any necessary terminations.
- Set and approve employee’s work schedule.
- Verify and approve timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies.
- Document performance feedback and other personnel matters.
- Participate in cross divisional communication.
- Assist with the development and execution of short-term and long-term goals and priority projects/initiatives for the support business unit, auto division and claims divisions.
- Solicit, research, and develop efficiencies.
Requirements:
- High School diploma
- 2-3 years of industry experience

- Proficient in claim procedures and workflow processes.
- Good computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.
- Excellent and effective oral and written communication and active listening skills.
