Position: Six (6) credit recovery teachers to teach middle school students who attend our credit recovery programs

When: Dates: May 27, 28, 29, June 2-6, June 9-13, June 16-18 – plus a prep day: This day will be used to familiarize yourself with school PLP, prepare STEM coursework, review pre-tests and post-tests, and set
up classrooms at PVHS. Hours are 7:45 am to 12:15 pm. Students will attend 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Purpose: This summer programming aims to provide academic opportunities for students to earn credit, as well as academic enrichment and support activities beyond the regular academic year. The RCMS summer
teacher will collaborate with the program administrator, program coordinator, paraprofessionals and the health aide.

Qualifications:
- Valid Nevada Teaching License;
- Successful teaching experience with middle school students;
- Valid Nevada driver's license.
- The candidate demonstrates:
- A high level of professional commitment to the NCSD and RCMS vision and areas of academic focus;
- Leadership skills and the ability to work closely and cooperatively with other team members;
- A strong insight and understanding of the needs of middle school students;
- The ability to work collaboratively and communicate with diverse groups;
- A belief that all students can learn along with the belief that teachers impact outcomes
Performance Responsibilities:
- Work closely and cooperatively with other teachers in the program, the coordinator, and all RCMS administration, to structure the best learning environment for all students;
- Participate in and provide opportunities for collaborative decision-making within both the team and the school environments;
- Assist with the development and updates of any necessary communication between the team and the coordinator(s), students, parents;
- Be flexible and work with a variety of curriculums not limited to: Personalized Learning Platforms (PLP) for credit recovery students, coding, construction with various materials, technology, and electronics, dissections, and other STEM-related PBL;
- Be able to create pre and post-tests aligned with standards to track student progress in the courses assigned to you during the program;
- Be able to work independently with a group of 20-30 students
- Assist with supervision of students during nutrition times;
